Could only purchase this item from Amazon.Com and as such had to pay high postage an import duties. But boy was it worth it. This item is a must for flip users. The lens is very easy to attached to the filp camers by means of a magnet on the lens. I also purchased the Opeka .45X Wide Angle lens form the same supplier and was amazed what a difference it made to the shots. Would highly recommend.

Uses magnets to attach to camera’s original lens, if you are running or camera gets bumped while it is attached the lens will fall off. We use it with the Flip HD Ultra and the extra zoom is wonderful so it does what it is supposed to, just walking and still shooting the lens will stay on.

I’m using this lens in conjuction with a Flip Ultra HD. The attachment of this lens is the first real problem. It relies on carefully placing a sticky ring on the outside of the Flip lens aperture which was reasonably easy to fit.

However, the lens attaches to this using a series of small magnets on the rear face which weren’t really powerful enough to keep the lens firmly in place. There should have been some sort of groove in the rear face of the lens in which the above ring should sit, but it is totally flat, meaning the lens can slide about or just fall off.

The other problem is that this lens can only be used at full magnification of the Flip, otherwise the inside of the lens shows as a dark area in all the corners of the picture.

The picture quality is great however.
